Creative organizing - chapter 2

~ Lets talk paper storage. ~

I love patterned papers and for some reason my collection keeps growing no matter how much I scrapbook.! :D There are so many clever ways to store our beautiful 12x12 " papers both vertically and horizontally.

I got these vertical paper holder from Cropper Hopper years ago and they are still my fave way of storing patterned papers. It is easy to see what I have and flicking through the papers is quite easy too. American Crafts has a wide variety of vertical storage too.

I got these stack-able "shelves" on-line when a fellow crafter was trying to get rid of them and these are great fro patterned papers, cardstock and other 12x12" sheets. These were in my old studio but are now on loan! :D These crop-bags from Studio Calico are also great for storing papers as well as keeping your kits organized.

I saw this ever so clever way of storing patterned papers over at the Crafty Storage blog many moons ago and I really like this idea. Takes little space and holds lots of stuff. IKEA is my go to store when it comes to crafty organisation and things are usually reasonable prized.

Life has it's ups and downs

Even my younger daughter has her off days, especially when she is not happy with her mommy saying no when she wants to hear yes.

I was inspired by the Color Combos Galore challenge #215 - the flowers and shear ribbon were inspired by those cute li hats in this months CCG photo.

Life is not always easy when you ar so little! :D

I used the January kit from My Creative Scrapbook, Embossing powder, Prima stamp, Unity stamps, Basic Grey brads, Tattered Angels mists and AC cardstock

A slider-card

I saw this tutorial for a slider-card over at Splitcoaststampers and I decided to give it a go. My card is quite a simple looking slider-card but I had fun and I have lots of ideas for this kind of card.

It is so much fun trying new things! :D

Creative organizing

I was happily surprised to find out that many of my crafty storage ideas have found their way to Pinterest and since so many of my fellow crafters like my way of organizing I decided to share some of my ideas and tips when it comes to organizing all that pretty stuff we collect! :D

I plan on focusing on one theme every week or so and I hope your find my organize ideas useful. So lets talk about twine and those cute tiered trays

I really love those cute tiered trays and the best part is that they can be found in any shape, color and theme. Just pick the one you like the most. I have  small one that I use to store my small paper roses (I used to store a mix of buttons & brads on the green one before), they basically work for anything small and pretty! :D

I found these larger ones for a reasonable prize at a local store and these were just perfect for all my mists and frequently used inks. I also have another one just like this one where I store my wooden stamps and lots of pretty lil embellishments (I will share more on that one next week ;o).

Twine - it is so popular now and I admit it I am addicted. I have a good collection of various twine that I use quite often which I keep in this little lace-jar but the larger spools I store in these cute sugar dispensers. How neat is that! :D

Up high

DD#1 loves to climb the trees in my parent's garden and of course I had to take a photo of her one sunny afternoon. I used my beloved Mistables papers from Pink Paislee , Petaloo flowers and leftovers from an older My Scrapbook Nook kit.

My December Daily is done!

Woohoo - it is finally done with all the photos and most of the journaling in there too, just have a tiny bit of writing to do. I am so happy about this album and I am really proud to be done so quickly.

I used the Cozy Christmas collection from ScrapCake and created by Karola - and I think I need to get my hands on even more collections created by this fab company.

A New Addition mini

I really love making little notebooks, mini-albums and tiny books - I was never really into those kind of things but since I gave those lil books a go last year I just can not stop making them.

I made this little baby book/album using the adorable baby line New Addition from Pebbles - just love ethe softness and texture to this collections. It is on of my all time Pebbles fave.
