I have always love how creative Heidi Swapp is and when I saw her back-to-back binding technique I just had to give it a go. Everything in this album, besides the FabRips, is from the V-day kit from My Scrapbook Nook. So here is my lil mini and a quick tutorial.
Step 1 -choose what papers you want to use (you can use as many as you want) and cut them to 4"x12". Then score half the papers at 7" and the other half at 5". This way you will be bale to get shorter pages in between the longer pages and that kinda make this mini a bit different! :D
Step 2 -the next step is the back-to-back binding part. Because we will be gluing the papers back to back choose which pattern you want to be seen in your album. The best way is to line up your papers in the order you will be gluing them down, it will make the process much easier. Use your all time fave glue - I used Ranger Glossy but there is lots and lots of great adhesive out there so just pick the one that you like the best. Just make sure it is a strong one.
Step 3 -next all we have to do is squish the two sides together and lay them flat. Then repeat step 2 and 3 until we are done with the album.
Step 4 -Now that all the pages are stuck together we need to bind the whole book together. I used a 3"x4" piece of Studio Calico FabRips (of course you can use a piece of patterned paper) to keep my mini sealed - those work great cause they are strong and flexible.
Step 5 -I distressed all my edges with the Prima Distress tool and my trusty Tim Holtz Distress ink. Now all we have to do is decorate the album.

Happy crafting!
